HWC Coffee Imago (KK FoodieVenture #210)

These days I've noticed that the current 'in' trend for beverages leans more towards coffee, especially with the ongoing Starbucks boycott. And while everyone seems to be raving about ZUS Coffee, I for one preferred this brand instead, especially after trying out their Double Chocolate Frappe. Man, all I can say is that it was definitely 'richly chocolatey'. But the one that I preferred was the one done by the baristas at Imago Shopping Mall (on the ground floor, at the far end of said mall). I did tried out the same thing at their Suria Sabah outlet and that one was just meh in terms of taste, kind of like a watered down version of the former. Oh and I'd also 'tapau' their Double Chocolate Chip Muffin and it was good as well.

FYI... This is the Frappe from Imago outlet (yummy)...

... versus this one from the Suria Sabah outlet (bland - you could practically see the difference in the colours alone)

... and lastly, my takeaway muffin (nothing special but pretty good)

Indo Padang City Mall (KK FoodieVenture #209)

Another local franchise that we haven't been to in awhile and then suddenly decided to do so recently is this place on the ground floor, outer side of City Mall KK. In fact, we initally didn't even know that they were there until we spotted them while wanting to go to another eatery nearby.

I'd always loved indo food so theirs was no exception. Me and my hubby tried their Nasi Goreng Indonesia Ayam Goreng Special and Nasi Ayam Goreng Special Sambal Ijo Lombok and both were commendable. I've also added some extra Perkedel since I remembered liking them so much before and as I've discovered again, still do until now.

Nyonya House Imago (KK FoodieVenture #208)

As far as I can remember, the first time me and my hubby had tried out the Nyonya House was back in 2015 when Warisan Square was still brand spanking new & they'd opened a branch there. So fast forward to the now and we finally decided to once again try them out but this time at their Imago Shopping Mall outlet (again, on the lower ground floor of said mall). Menu items were pretty much the same even after all these years so we decided to order their Kampung Fried Rice, Tomyam Fried Rice (which came to us almost identical in looks) as well as their Kam Hiong Sliced Fish and Mixed Vegetables and I have to say that the food in general were good and their spices were on point. I'm actually quite amazed that the quality of their food were pretty consistent throughout the years so kudos to them.

Pak Kopi Riverson (KK FoodieVenture #207)

I've seen this emerging 'kedai kopi' styled coffee franchise around even in Tawau as of late but it was when we were passing by their Riverson The Walk outlet in KK (inside the ground floor of said mall) that we'd finally decided to try them out. Hubby dearest got himself some Mocha flavoured coffee while I obviously went for their Ice Chocolate one and right away I know that it was not for me. But coffee lovers will most definitely loved this coffee-heavy franchise as the caffeine taste were strong and are less sweet.
