Fussio Cafe & Restaurant (KK FoodieVenture #205)

I remembered that the only reason why we'd decided to try out this eatery was because we'd managed to get a parking space right in front of them, on a very busy weekday at Lintas Square (they're next to Japanese restaurant Wojamama if I'm not mistaken). We did not expect much from their somewhat Western+local taste menu but was pleasantly surprised to find that we'd rather enjoyed their Spaghetti Bolognese and Fussio Big Breakfast as they are hearty and tasted just right. Their Onion Rings however was not as yummy since the batter was not mixed well and the onions were stuck to one another. But other than that I like their main food so all is good.

Teppanya Cafe & Bar Imago (KK FoodieVenture #204)

We had actually went to this Japanese fusion eatery's Plaza 333 main outlet before and since they left quite a good impression on us back then, we decided to try out their Imago Shopping Mall branch as well (they're on the lower ground floor of said mall). Might be because it was prepared by a different crew, that me and my hubby thought that our food the Teppanya Salmon Rice and Wafu Yaki Ramen with Shoyu Mince Beef were not up to par this time around. Granted it might also be due to the constant stream of people coming and going during Xmas but our expectations were just higher I guess. Their drinks however were still pretty good so at least it was a consolation for us right?

Meet Coffee Cafe (KK FoodieVenture #203)

I always loved a coffee cafe's ambience and that pretty much what drives me (okay, so specifically my hubby is the one that does all the driving) to locate this cafe, even though it was way out of my usual route (they're situated at Hai Ou Light Industrial area within Kolombong, Jalan Tuaran). The very Instagrammable two floored cafe is definitely suitable place for hanging out. We'd ordered some light snacks since we had a heavy breakfast before that, such as their Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Fried Wedges and some Hot Chocolate and Caramel Macchiato. Everything was nice and tasty but nothing note worthy I'm afraid in terms of their food. But it was definitely a great place to take selfies as it was stylishly designed for just that (I guess).

Rotiboy Imago (KK FoodieVenture #202)

My KK-Sandakan posts onwards will be as short as possible, or so I say anyway (since I have quite a number of them pending from way back in Dec - yup, Taylor Swift would be proud with my pun).

First up is the renown Mexican Bun (aka coffee bun) brand that has finally made its way to Sabah via Imago Shopping Mall (they're located on the Lower Ground floor, nearest to a branch of Nyonya House - which I will also talked about on a later post). Though familiar with it, I never tried them out during my time in the Peninsula Malaysia. And of course the ever present line in front of said kiosk piqued my interest as well so I've tried their original 'rotiboy' (there are supposedly other flavours but non were available during my stop) and they were indeed airy and yummy especially when they're fresh off the oven and are still piping hot. But to say that it was different from any other coffee bun out there.. well, I guess that depends on ones taste buds isn't it?
