Nearest to our current hotel (at that time)
was the evergreen shopping spot, Centre Point Shopping Mall. Even though there
might be other malls that are vying for the ‘it mall’ status in KK, Centre
Point still remains as one of the firm favourites of the locals and tourists
alike. One of the main reasons might be because the mall provides more
affordable stores that fortunately include their selection of food. And that is
pretty evident with the ever popular Centre Point Food Court right at the basement level (LG
floor) of said mall.
I’m featuring some of the food joints
available at the latter as ‘individuals’ rather than as a whole like before. I
mean, it’s only fair that I did that because I just love going to the food
court and trying out multiple meals there. One such place that can be
considered the mainstay of the food court is this eatery called Nelta Café
& Catering. Their position might be one of the factors that helped them
maintained their steady stream of customers, as they’re right in the middle of
the court. I admit that the place is one of my favourite stop each time I
visited the mall. The eatery provides a huge variety of pre-cooked local (well,
mostly with Indonesian flare) ‘lauk’
daily (with my personal favourites being their tempe , begedil, acar mangga and ayam masak kicap - among the best in
terms of taste). They also sell to-order-dishes such as the typical Nasi Goreng
and Mee Goreng should you’re not in the mood for any of their pre-cooked dishes.
