D'bulan Tomyam Restoran

My recent visit to this Kelantanese-Thai cuisine restaurant made me realized that I’ve actually forgotten to post their earlier pictures (pre-MCO) in this blog so… here they are! FYI, they’re located within the (somewhat) newly developed Plaza Damai commercial area at (where else) Jalan Damai.

The first time I went to the restaurant (again, that was during pre-MCO times) I remembered it being very pleasant, with the waiters and food being served promptly. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case when me and my partner went there again fairly recently for our lunch. The waitress that attended to us seems a bit err… ‘blur-ish’ and had totally forgotten my order (but not my partner’s order so lucky him). We tried to call her after awhile to ask about my order but she seems to be ignoring me (probably due to the growing lunch crowd). The owner did a walk-around as well but had also missed our table for some reason. Alas, my partner had to reordered my Nasi Kerabu Ayam directly at the counter and only then my food was served. To be fair, the dish was pretty good but nothing noteworthy I’m afraid. My partner was into their Sup Tulang so he ordered it both times we were there. It was rather salty to me but my partner seems to like it nevertheless. So all I’m saying is do avoid the place during peak hours as it can be hectic.

** Current status – Still in operation (as of August 2020)
