Kopi Ping Cafe Garden City

From my fave place to my hubby's, now let us move on to my parent's most frequented eatery. The one that they went most of the time is their recently opened Taman Semarak branch (which is nearer to our home but more on them later) but before that we pretty much went all the way to the backside row of Garden City, Jalan Chong Thien Vun (right beside Bataras Hypermarket) just so we could sample their food. Obviously both of my parents became fans of the franchise eatery when they discovered them in KK so it was a no brainer that they loved their Tawau branches as well, with Hainanese Chicken Rice, Homemade Fish Ball Mee Hoon Soup, Laksa Mee Hoon and Siew Mai dimsum being among their fave dishes. I personally loved their Nasi Goreng Kampung and Tuaran Mee and I thought that the taste of their food were at least on par with their KK counterparts. And as evident by the ever present horde of customers, Tawaurians seems to enjoy them as well.

Bro n Sis Coffee Story

A third in a row post on T2 @ Apas commercial area only meant that yes, I loved hanging out at the so-called latest 'it' place and visiting its ever growing interesting eateries that mushroomed within the area as of late. This one (located at the backside of the aforementioned, on the same row as Starbucks) is currently my hubby's fave eatery and another place that I thought that I've reviewed before (but apparently not). The Malay establishment offers local dishes such as the Coto Makassar, Mee Hoon Sup Ayam, Nasi Minyak Ayam Berempah that we've tried out and generally the food were pretty good. They also have a selection of cakes & pastries but those were just okay in my opinion apart from their Chocolate Cromboloni which I found surprisingly yummy (and this coming from someone who doesn't like cromboloni that much).

Daily Coffee T2 Apas

It's about time that I post about one of my go-to hangout places in Tawau (located at the front row of T2 @ Apas, just beside Chagee), since I just realized that I haven't done so even though I went to this place frequently (because my absend-minded brain was 'convinced' otherwise). Right off the bat I'm going to say that their signature chocolate drinks series were just divine particularly their Belgium Chocolate Brownies drink. The food that we've tried were also pretty delicious even though sometime it does took them quite awhile to prepare them even with not that many patrons around. But as much as I also favoured their Chocolate Banana Muffin, their other cakes & pastries were not that worth it in my personal opinion. Their cakes were mostly of smaller sizes (but with 'big' prices) and their pastries were hard in texture and just so-so in taste. But I still like hanging out at the eatery every so often since I felt at ease while dining there (no crowd = calmer mind).
