The Bretzel Co. Bataras Tawau

It seems that more and more of my hubby's fave food joints are making their way to our shores and this snack franchise is the latest one. Located within Bataras Hypermarket at Jalan Chong Thien Vun (specifically in front of the Rotiboy shop), we'd only visited their booth recently after we made sure that all those 'early curious long lines' had diminished. We've tried some of our all time faves such as the Triple Cheese Pretzels, Chocolate Bretzel Stix and Bretzel Sausage Bites and everything tasted good, like the ones we had before. I'm currently into their Jumbo Kaw Kaw Cheese Sausage as it is big in portion and very filling.

CariMeee Kolombong (KK FoodieVenture #264)

Yup I know, we've been down this road before. But do bear with me guys since my hubby is a huge instant noodles fan and when he heard that Carimeee has opened another bigger, shinier branch at Light Industrial Centre, Jalan Tuaran, Kolombong area, we were there in a heartbeat. Needless to say, it has the same concept as their Plaza 333 branch but with nicer Kpop inspired decor. I mean, there's literally a huge picture of Big Bang's GDragon near to their exit. Nothing much to comment about their food (it is what it is) but I was puzzled however with their choice of location for their second branch. We were there at night and the place was so quiet (with most of the shops already closed) that we actually doubted that we were at the right area. Then again who am I to question that right?

Noms City Mall (KK FoodieVenture #263)

After our lunch at Olde Station Kopitiam at City Mall, we obviously decided to walked around the mall since we were already there. And it was then that I realized that I haven't posted anything about this cookies store, located on the ground floor of said mall (even though I'm actually a frequent customer - my bad). They usually made an assortment of soft cookies and the ones that we'd gotten that day were their regulars the Oreo Cheesecake, Double Choco Chips & Tiramisu and all were of course chewy, yummy and not overly sweet. They're also very active within the smaller, local food carnival scenes and as far as I know had also opened another shop at Karamunsing as well as kiosks at ITCC Mall and Riverson.

Tea Co. Sutera Avenue (KK FoodieVenture #260)

After a satisfying lunch at the nearby Cabe Ijo, my stomach decided that it still has some room left for a nice, cool drink and so we made our way into this place (located at the front side of Sutera Avenue, on the same row as a Chagee branch & ASNB office). I never actually knew that they also have a selection of munchies to go along with their drinks so we'd ordered their Fried Sweet Potato Fries to go. It was really nice & the portion was also pretty big despite ordering their small sized. For drinks, I initially wanted their Cheesy Chocolate but since it wasn't available, I opted for their Peace Ice Tea instead. I was rather surprised to find the drink has quite a lot of mix fruit chunks in it but hey, I'm not complaining. It was definitely a refreshing drink & will be my fave for future visits.

Rotiboy Bataras Tawau

Yup, the popular Rotiboy has also made its way to Tawau sometime last year and as expected, Tawau folks were crazy for them at first but now has somewhat grew bored of them (typical!). Here's to hoping that they will last longer here in spite of such situations. FYI they're located within the Bataras Hypermarket, Jalan Chong Thien Vun building, at the far end lot near the side (Garden City) entrance. And yes, my faves are still their Mochaboy bun and the original Rotiboy of course.

CariMeee (KK FoodieVenture #240)

And speaking of foreign youtube channels (in my previous post), one of the things that I'm very into these days are watching videos of people eating out at Korean convenience store. I would really loved to try preparing my own ramen in a store such as theirs and lo and behold, there is such place on the 1st floor of Plaza 333 Kobusak commercial centre (they're located above Watsons store). Though we wished that the place could be a little bigger (since a bunch of us we literally elbowing each other at the cooking stations while trying to prepare our ramens - which was funny since a lot of 'sorrys' were flying around), I'm still very happy to find that the owner took a lot of effort in decorating the place (we loved their creative main door) and had prepared a sizable selection of ramens from a few countries and some add ons. Me and my hubby had a fun experience and our ramens turned out quite well and delicious. Plus, they also had onigiris and other desserts should anyone be interested.
