First and foremost..

Thank you so much for visiting this humble blog of mine. I'll try to give you guys some good reviews on the local food & sceneries especially from my hometown (yay Tawau, Sabah) so please bear with me ok 😊

Oh and just so you guys know before proceeding...

a) I never travel abroad - so you won't be seeing any posts outside of our beloved country (yet!)

b) I take all of my pictures with my smartphone - so no professionally taken photos here as well (sad but true)

c) I dined using my own moolah - so my comments are somewhat unbias (for now)

d) I have this ongoing problem with my internet at home so I can only go online at work (the 'perks' of living at the bottom of a hill)- so I'm sorry beforehand for any comments that cannot be reply timely (my bad)

e) I don't mind if you guys wanted to use any of my pictures - just as long as you credit this blog as well ok 👍

Also due to my own carelessness, I've accidentally deleted most of the photos that I've uploaded to Google Album Archive a few years back. Thankfully I found a way to recover most of them (but not all I'm afraid) albeit in a much lower resolution & quality. So if you're viewing my past posts and there seems to be missing photos from them, I do apologized beforehand for that. I'll try to update them with newer photos should I drop by said places again in the future. So sorry folks... 😢😢😢

So here goes nothing...

Nasi Lemak House by Raizu

It's nice to see a homegrown business expanding their empire to not just multiple franchises all over Malaysia, but also branching out to other (but similar) F&B businesses. That folks, is the case of this so-called Nasi Lemak House (to put it in simpler terms; DojoPate GrillChicken Raizu> Nasi Lemak House). So if you have been to their other restaurants, then you will notice similar menu items within this place's main menu as well. We've tried out their Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah & Sup Tulang and both were pretty good and tasty. Food came out pretty fast as well so that's a plus. Parking however can be a bit of a challenge given that they're located at the back side of Kubota Sentral (arguably the busiest row within the commercial area) & right next to Blu Sentral Hotel.

ZUS Coffee Tawau

Fine, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not exactly a big fan of ZUS Coffee. Tried their drinks a couple of times and nothing has won me over (thus far). I mean, their drinks were okay but a bit too light tasting and milky for my personal liking. BUT their ever growing variety of food selections were quite good. My personal faves are their Nasser's Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang (yes, that Airasia meal) and Mushroom Melt Sandwich.

Currently there are 3 ZUS Coffee outlets here in Tawau (that spawned almost at the same time. Coincidence? Maybe.. maybe not..). The one that my colleagues (whom are almost all ZUS enthusiasts) frequented is their T2 @ Apas outlet due to its prime hangout vibes and ample parking spaces. But I personally prefer the Kubota Sentral outlet since I like walking around the surrounding shops whenever I stayed at one of the hotels nearby (my go to place for some staycation). The least favoured one has got to be the Garden City outlet, mostly because of the impossible parking, as it is a very popular but also very small commercial area.
