Mylk Cafe

I FINALLY got my phone back from the authorized service centre just last week hence I wasted no time in trying the camera out at this cafe, in the newly developed Garden City commercial area (the building next to Bataras Hypermarket at Perdana Jaya). This cafe was one of many, many eateries that had been wiped off from my phone's original memories, so I did feel somewhat sheepish as I 'stealthily' took some pics at said place (again).

I previously have tried out their Chicken Nasi Arab (see below) but this time around I thought that the overall taste lacked something. Nevertheless it is still pretty good; it's just that for some reason I thought that it tasted much better before. I also can't possibly resist their Peanut Butter Brownies with Ice Cream (my fave combination of main ingredients EVER!) and it was definitely lovely. The choco taste was just nice while the peanut butter complimented the brownie perfectly.

Mihimihi Tawau

Nope, my main phone is still not back from its 'phone hospital' (aka main service centre in KL) so unfortunately I'm doing this with my spare emergency phone. So do expect a more low quality pictures below ok.

It's a bit sad to see that several eateries in the Kubota Sentral area has recently closed their doors permanently (and I was supposed to be blogging about them already if my phone was not giving me continuous troubles). But it is not suprising either since Tawau people has this habit of crowding any new outlet during its opening week like crazy before dispersing into thin air.

And one such places that (by the looks of it) is also 'endangered' of closing is this snack franchise (located right in front of the Kubota Sentral's One Stop branch). Never tried any French puff pastries before but their products are actually pretty tasty. The Dark Belgian Chocolate, Hazelnut and Strawberry (not in the pics) has crunchy and crumbly texture while the flavoured creams were not too sweet and err... creamy. They also have a selection of in house drinks to choose from to go with your pastries. But I guess the somewhat steep pricing (at least by Tawau's standards) might be one of the reasons why the place lacks customers as of late. Hopefully they can hold on as long as they can since it will be a shame if they closed their doors now.
